To Touch, Move and Inspire

Dance is an art form that generally refers to the movement of the body, usually rhythmic and to music, used as a form of expression, social interaction or presented in a spiritual or performance setting.

"The body says what words cannot.”

- Martha Graham

I have been dancing since I was four, it was the first time for me that i gave my solo stage performance. I still remember those five most special minutes of my life. I was  wearing mustard coloured top and black shorts. Those five minutes I danced my heart out on the stage and was least concerned about the fact what people will think or talk about. Will they appreciate it? But nothing affected me or my performance. From that day I don't even remember how many stage performences I have given as solo or in group. All of this has always been a memorable and freezed moments of   my life.

"While I dance I can not judge, I can not hate,
I can not separate myself from life.
I can only be joyful and whole. This is why I dance."

- Hans Bos

Dance is just not an art or a mere word for me. The moment when I  am dancing I am just out there in some other world where there are no worries, no tensions, no fraudlent or misleading appearances, its just me and my different world which is  just in the exact way I want.

I never started dancing thinking i would learn any big life lessons (it was just somthing cool and relaxing at the time). But there are somethings  which I found as a synonymous in a lot ways between dancing and life. They both consist of movement and motion, of trying to grasp something beyond yourself (this can be spiritual, artistic etc or anything that makes you feel alive, outerbody and lifted) and of enjoying yourself in the process of grasping that which is bigger than yourself. In dance as well as in life everyone is born with differet set of skills. There are tons of dancers born gifted. But, surprisingly, they don't usually equate being the best dancers around. Te best dancers are those who work hard to perfect their craft. And the same can be said about life. It's not usually the most gifted that get far in life, it's the most hardworking.

My style of dancing is Street Jazz, Street dance more formally known as vernacular dance, is an umbrella term used to describe dance styles that evolved outside od dance studios in any available open space such as parks, streets, clubs etc. and Jazz dance is a specific type of dance that includes several dancing styles such as ballet, tap, jazz music and other related dance forms. Jazz dance is also referred to as theatrical dance that is usually danced on jazz music but can be performed on other types of music as well. So you if you really want to be out of the crowd in there you need to be well rehearsed with the routine and train yourself very well and at times need to be spontaneous. Similarly in life sometimes life calls for a schedule – a set routine, and sometimes life calls for that set routine to be thrown out the window and for you to make choices on the fly. A routine in place is mandatory but the ability to throw that routine away and take care of emergencies is also mandatory.

"Dancing is the loftiest, the most moving,
the most beautiful of the arts.
For it is no mere translation or abstraction of life.
It is life itself."

- Henry Havelock Ellis

What everyone wants from Life?

"A table, a chair, a bowl of fruit and a violin; what else does a man need to be happy?"
- Albert Einstein

Daily life can be made more full of fun and cheering in other words happier. Its just the matter of our choice, it all depends upon our ATTITUDE that makes us feel happy or  unhappy. Its natural every time one just can't have 'The Gala Time', we all meet with all kinds of situations during the day. We constantly go through various situations and circumstances, its again the matter of choice either we can choose the option of thinking about the unhappy events or we can choose to refuse to think about them and instead relish the happy moments. We should not let them to influence and affect our feelings and reactions. The addition of happiness to our lives can only be made by us, if we let outer happenings to influence our moods we become their slaves. We let our happiness to be determined by the outer forces and thus we loose our freedom. On the other hand, we can free ourselves from the outer influences by looking at things more positively and changing our attitude.

What is HAPPINESS?

Happiness is a mental state of well-being characterized by positive emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. It is usually experienced when there are no worries, fears or obsessing thoughts, and this usually happens, when we do something we love to do or when we get, win, gain or achieve something that we value. It is a feeling of inner peace and satisfaction. It seems to be the outcome of positive events, but it actually comes from the inside, triggered by outer events. For most of the people happiness is transitory and momentary because they let changing outer situations or events or circumstances affect it. The best way to deal with it is by gaining the inner peace because as mind become more peaceful, it becomes easier to choose being happy as habit.
If the person is happy from inside he or she carries an aura with him or her and makes any place out there more energetic, powerful, lively and positive. If one share his or her happiness with someone automatically he or she spreads happiness and make the people around happy. Happiness together encourages a prosperous growth. It is like perfume you can not pour it on others without getting few drops on you.

"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared."

- The Buddha

LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE, DARE IT...

Worry, stress, anger, fear, depression, insomnia, self doubts and tension are some of the many common problems that can plague our every day lives, making us unhappy and sick, or even more worse. Since each day lost to these problems cannot be replaced, we ought to do something about it rather than sitting and letting things happen.

"Be happy while you're living, for you're long time dead." - Scottish Proverb

"How the time flies" the days go by and then they are years, and  finally then all these years become our whole life. Each daily part of it can be wasted or it can be a pleasure that can be cherished, before it is gone forever. If end review of the day concludes that we are too stressed, too busy, din't have any fun or it was just an another day that has gone then it has been just another lost piece of precious life. We put off all of our enjoyment of life due to the reason been waiting for improved conditions, more money or more time but the trouble is that it might never happen or may be too long in coming. Its very important to accept this time from this very minute as something of very tremendous value will  be gone forever.

Face problems confidently, bravely and improve the situation no matter what state it is. In routine one should enjoy others and thus ourselves.
Be GOOD to feel GOOD.

"All truly wise thoughts have been thought already thousands of times; but to make them truly ours, we must think them over again honestly, till they root in our personal experience." - Johann Von Goethe
